Yesterday was an inspiring day! I visited St Luke United Methodist Church to meet children at Vacation Bible School. This week, they have a goal of raising $4,800 to build a home for a family in El Salvador. I was inspired by the children's enthusiasm to share God's love with their friends and family in El Salvador.
The theme for yesterday was "Friends and Family Help Us Stand Strong" and the Bible verse was 1 Thessalonians 5:11 "encourage one another."
By day two of VBS, the children have already donated close to $700.00!
To mark their progress, a VBS Construction Team built a foundation of 6 bricks (1 for each $100 dollars collected so far.) I can't wait to see a picture of the completed house at the end of the week!
